GREENHAND LEADERSHIP CONFERENCE


  A. Date: September 23, 2017; Sign in 8 AM; Start 9 AM; Concludes 1 PM
  B. Place: Anna High School
  C. Cost: $20.00 – Bring payment (no personal checks) to camp.
  D. Reservations: Fill out & submit Google Doc on Area V website with number of participants and t-shirt sizes by Wednesday, September 13, 2017 at 6 pm. You will need to pay for the number you reserve!
  E. Forms: Bring 2 forms filled out and signed to participate (Area V Health History & Area V Medical Release). Download forms and make copies as needed.
  F. ALL District Officers are needed to help with Greenhand Camp. Duties may include presenters, helpers, facilitators or group leaders. Please plan to attend and assist the Area Officers.

  D. Courtesy Corp will be on a volunteer basis.
  E. Note: Voting delegates must be in official dress.

Area Leadership Conference Chairmen

  A. Dates: Conference A: June 11-13, 2018 & Conference B: June 18-20, 2018
  B. Time: Check in at 8:30 – 9:30 AM, Camp begins at 10 AM, Camp will end at 11 AM
  C. Place: Texas A&M – Commerce
  D. Cost: $100 per person (includes teachers, teacher’s children, spouses, etc.).
  E. Registration: Registration form & full payment is to be POSTMARKED May 28, 2018 to Area V FFA, ℅ Sandy Scheu, 9208 FM 17, Grand Saline, TX 75140.
  F. Payment: School checks, money orders or cashier’s checks only. No personal checks!!
  G. Participation:
1) Area Officers are required to be at both conferences.
2) District Officers should attend one of the two conferences, but cannot attend both.
3) Chapter Officers can attend either conference.
  H. Number of participants: If a chapter is bringing more than 2 officers, an advisor must stay the entire conference to help chaperone!
  I. Rules: Participants must be present for the total conference and abide by all camp rules.
  J. Forms: Bring with you (DO NOT MAIL!) 4 forms filled out and signed to participate (1. Area V FFA Minor’s Release Form; 2. Area V FFA Health History Form; 3. MRC Waiver Form; 4. TAMUC Waiver Form)
  K. What to bring: personal toiletries, towel/washcloth, hand towel, sleeping bag or one set of twin sheets, blanket, pillow and pillow case.

  E. Number of teachers needed for registration:
Monday – 3 teachers; 4pm – 6pm
Tuesday – 3 teachers; 8am – 1 pm
Tuesday – 3 teachers; 12pm- 5pm
Wednesday – 3 teachers; 8am – 1pm
